My students will email me, journal editors will email me for reviews, but NIH doesn’t email me to find out when I am submitting my grant. Thus, I prioritize those things that I set goals for, and I would say that most weeks, I get silver or gold. My accountability group will ask me though, and keep me answerable to my goals.

As a tenure-track faculty member at a research intensive university, my (federal) grantsmanship expectations are high if I want to get promoted to full, or to have the money to get resources for my grad students and myself. I submitted it in 2017. Grant Title. I rewrote it as an R01 , and tailored it for a new study section.
