The class entering college in 2027 was in sixth grade in Fall 2021 and has since failed to make up any of the ground they lost. The cohort of students who were taking algebra during their first year of high school in 2020-2021 will begin entering college in Fall 2024. Earlier cohorts may also be deeply impacted.
