Removing barriers for students to use mentalhealth services is one of the most important goals of college administrations today particularly for students of color and diverse backgrounds. Without a doubt, mentalhealth treatment and counseling must be done by professionals.
There are growing mentalhealth concerns among college students and an increase in demand for all studenthealth services among community college students. Unfortunately, the demand for studenthealth services often exceeds a community colleges resources. But that has to be funded.
