Brown, Excelencia in Education has the stated mission to accelerate Latino student success in higher education. It has done that with an 86% success rate for the 2022-23 academic year. Also, that year the program’s retention rate of Latino students was 18% higher than the college’s general retention rate.

This philosophy is at the heart of Northwest Missouri State University ’s (Northwest) success.
The Success and Retention Opportunities Accelerator empowers users with student success analytics to improve student success outcomes through interventions, policy changes, and other initiatives. The data can also be used to support funding and grant requests.
The last two years of the pandemic impacted students’ academic success and their transition to a residential campus setting.
