Morris Thomas My group contributed the suggestion that higher education should also consider the experience of and/or capacity for using digital learning tools in addition to the subject matter expertise of an individual. Only 7% of the position descriptions included a mention of educational technology/digital learning in the criteria.
And I also think it's important to mention just higher education's overall goal in serving the community, and facilitating successful re-assimilation for these students to return as productive members of society. Online programs must exist in conjunction with offering this more emotional support and just facilitating a community.
