Diversifying representation sends a signal to students, faculty, and other stakeholders that leadership is attainable, and education serves as a gateway to socio-economic gains for communities and the citizens they serve. Having an advocate or mentor is critical. Recommendations follow.

So, to answer your first question, I definitely agree that universities, campuses want to diversify. WL: And that definitely changed my perspective of which type of institution is going to see me as a viable candidate. A tutoring center, peer mentoring, alumni networks, all these. I know we are in a chaotic place. WL: Correct.
On the other hand, the underuse or misapplication of analytics can cause uncertainty for faculty, advisors, and staff and diminish student outcomes. Rather than viewing the predictions as definitive answers, professionals should use them as a trigger for further exploration and inquiry.
