It's learning because human beings are giving it more information and context to do a better job of responding. There's a lot of human intervention. It's remarkable at producing human-like writing, but it occasionally makes false, misleading, and biased content. It may not. That's just not the reality."
And we did low-residency, working online, then once a month coming to Brattleboro. And then when we saw the growth of onlinelearning and the for-profits rush into the vacuum, because most not-for-profits were looking down their nose at it, I thought, 'No, we are ceding this important part of serving Americans.
And yet, faculty are critical actors in students’ college experiences, and essential to the effort to transform higher education to a space where students are seen as humans first. No faculty member needs to become a social worker; they do need (and most want!)
Incorporate human connection : Community college students are balancing work, family, and finances. Often In many situations, students “don’t know what they don’t know,” and a proactive human connection can guide these students in ways that are more precise than self-service options. .
The instructional design onlinelearning course guided me through creating my innovation within a learning management system (LMS). In my efforts to create a significant learning environment , I was able to apply the skills I learned through the CSLE course. I have built a pilot Advising 101 course.
However, I think it's also worth noting that that may not be the reality just given the pervasiveness of onlinelearning, and it is. Onlinelearning does have this going for it. Should be humanizing and it should have the goal of returning people to society.
As I move into the final stages of my publication article, I recognize that this has the potential to continue a conversation with others in my profession about how technology can be employed to humanize the relationship between students, parents, advisors, and leadership.

I don't like onlinelearning, whatever it might be. And if you are a campus that isn't in an area with a great supply of them, you may have a hard time filling out the ranks and creating the human capacity that you need to support one-on-one counseling.
